2017 Honda CR-V Expectations and Changes
It’s beginning to be that time again, where a model of a vehicle has ran its course and it is time for a new generation of that vehicle to take over. Honda recently did this with the 2016 Civic and the 2016 Pilot, but so far the company has been rather hush on any 2017 plans they may have. One vehicle that received its last makeover in 2012 is the Honda CR-V, which is easily one of the most popular midsize SUVs in the U.S. today. The big question on a lot of people’s minds right now is whether there will be any additional expectations or changes to the 2017 Honda CR-V.
UNVEILED: Here is the 2017 Honda CR-V
Playing the Waiting Game
So far, Honda hasn’t made any announcements regarding the 2017 Honda CR-V, so most of what we are going to discuss here is just speculative, so take it with a grain of salt if you would like. Whenever Honda does redesign the CR-V, whether it is for 2017 or 2018, we expect the vehicle to keep the same general demeanor and feel, but possibly grow a bit in size. Honda has also stated, and as we have seen with the 2016 Civic and 2016 Pilot, that they are moving towards more stylish and edgy vehicles. While the 2016 Honda CR-V is certainly a good looking SUV, we should expect several design changes to the new model to reflect this trend.
Turbo Power Under the Hood?
Another significant change that Honda has been rumored to be planning for the new CR-V is a turbocharged engine under the hood. Honda rolled out a turbocharged engine option under the hood of the 2016 Honda Civic to give drivers a more powerful, efficient option to choose from, and it seems like this type of engine would be a good fit in the new CR-V as well.

New Advanced Technology
Honda has been an industry leader in the development of all-new advanced technology, including the HondaLink infotainment system and the Honda Sensing suite of driver assist technology. We should expect to see these technologies on display in the new CR-V to help keep passengers as protected as possible, while not sacrificing anything in terms of styling or performance.
